At night, my thoughts eat me alive.
After a while,
you stop crying for a bit, because the pain becomes sorta numb and instead of thrashing around in agony, you just lay there, helpless against your own mind. Then it comes back and it returns stronger than it was before, becoming an inescapable, horrific cycle.
